Arnulf Rainer, born in Baden in 1929, is considered the founder of Art Informel in Austria. His intensive search for new ways of painting, starting with the overpaintings and the constant development of new artistic strategies in the veil paintings and cross meditations through to performative face farces, made him one of the most influential artists of his generation. On the occasion of his 95th birthday in December 2024, the Würth Collection is showing an exquisite selection of his works from its rich collection in the atrium of Museum Würth 2.
